Making an application to the Sixth Form at Windsor is the first step on your Post 16 journey. The key dates for the 2011 admissions process are below.
October 18th – Sixth Form Open Evening
This is a fantastic opportunity for all students interested in joining us to come along to the Sixth Form and find out what we are all about. On the evening students and parents will be able to discuss the various options available, talk to the staff who will be teaching the subjects and speak to some of our current Sixth Formers studying at Windsor.
December 2nd - In-house application deadline
This is the deadline for all students currently studying at Windsor High School. During the autumn term time will be spent in the tutor programme looking at how to make a successful application and how to choose the right course. Application forms will be available on the School website.
December 9th – External application deadline
This is the deadline for all students not currently studying at Windsor High School. External applicants are invited to the Open Evening but if an additional visit is required before submitting an application, please contact the school. January + February 2012
During this time discussions will take place with students about their application. Each student will have an options session with one of the Sixth Form team to look at their subject choices and combinations. References will be requested for this process.
February 24th – Provisional offer letter
All students will posted a letter by this date notifying them if they have secured a place at Windsor Sixth Form. The letter will be a provisional offer. It will identify the subjects the student has opted for and the grades they are required to achieve in order to gain a place at Windsor Sixth Form.
