Getting to know one another and becoming a team
As students move into Windsor Sixth Form they will be getting to know a new range of people and preparing to work in different types of groups. At Sixth Form level, student learning is quite self-motivated and so students must work with their peers to achieve their maximum potential.
Getting to know one another and team building are therefore really important at the start of the Sixth Form experience so a special residential for Year 12 students is arranged to kick start this process.
Y12 PGL Residential

In September 2011, members of the new Year 12 cohort attended a weekend residential trip to the PGL Centre at Liddington, Swindon.
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for new students to get to know each other and find out more about the day to day running of the Sixth Form, before actually starting their courses.
The year group is made up of students who have joined us from Windsor and other surrounding schools. By the end of the trip new friendships are made and students are raring to get started with their studies.
“PGL was a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and gain great memories. We all thoroughly enjoyed it”.

“Being new to Windsor I felt apprehensive about starting a new year. But quickly I found it easy to fit in and make friends. All the students are welcoming and the staff are supportive. Meaning within no time you are part of the Windsor community. Being part of this leads to a better education and a brighter future.”
