Your Future
Windsor Sixth Form aims to be the perfect stepping stone from school to University or employment.

There is an extensive programme of information, advice and guidance (IAG) regarding the UCAS procedure and applying for jobs. This is delivered through the Tutor programme and accessible from the Windsor website.
A variety of external speakers and visits to University open/taster days are arranged from the start of Yr12 to ensure students are given maximum opportunity to consider their options.
There is a well stocked "Next Step" library where students have access to University prospectuses, career guidance publications and internet access to “next step” sites such as UCAS, Careerscope, Kudos and notgoingtouni.com.
All students are given individual support by the Director of Sixth Form, their Tutor and the Sixth Form Student Manager to ensure any decisions and applications they make are of the highest possible standard and reflect their full potential.
For some students their next step may not be directly to university and we also support this decision with our guidance. In fact we can do even more than this – in 2011 Windsor launched an Internship programme where two salaried roles were advertised to Windsor sixth formers offering them the opportunity to take up paid work which would give them scope to challenge themselves and grow their capabilities for a year. From a number of applicants two promising individuals who had decided that their next step was not to immediately go to University were selected. Click here to hear their thoughts on the internship.
